About Me
“One touch of nature makes the whole world kin.” -John Muir
I am grateful for the many opportunities I have had growing up. These experiences have fully impacted my view on the Recreation field, as well as my place within it. In my grade 10 year of high school I sailed to Mexico with my family. This was a pivotal time for me that brought forth my love for adventure. I now regularly enjoy mountaineering, hiking, skiing, surfing, snorkelling, rock climbing, yoga, sailing, and anything else that gets me outside. I have also enjoyed expressing my creativity through the means of Instagram, in which I share my recreational interests on. |
As a student in the Recreation and Health Education program at the University of Victoria, I have developed a strong background in outdoor recreation, healthy living, and creating community. My love for an outdoor active lifestyle has found a prominent place within my work, as I am finding ways to share this in broader aspects within my lifestyle.
I am currently working with children and youth to diminish the barrier that stands between them and this outdoor playground that we live in. My sense of community expands further and does not stop at children, but currently resides in my love for the community I have created: Rad Girls Collective. Through social media and online content we aim to celebrate, inspire, and empower women to get outdoors. In the past year Rad Girls Collective has gained a huge Instagram following and has grown into into a highly engaged international and local community. |
